Year 5 had an incredible STEM Day thanks to the Road to RIAT programme, supported by the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. We kicked off the morning with a Space Rocket Challenge, where pupils explored the science of forces and motion as they learnt about, designed, made and tested their own rockets. Teamwork, creativity and resilience were on full display throughout the challenge!

In the afternoon, pupils turned their attention to the future, learning about sustainable transport and considering how aviation might become more environmentally friendly. They were invited to design a sustainable aircraft for the future, producing thoughtful, imaginative ideas that showed a real understanding of the challenges engineers face.
