Sports at Stanford

Schools receive PE and Sport Funding. This funding must be used to fund improvements to the provision of PE and Sport, for the benefit of primary aged children, in the 2025 - 2026 academic year so that they develop healthy lifestyles. We receive a total of £17,730.00.

Look at how we plan to spend this year's funding:

Sport Leader Training 14.10.25

On Tuesday 14th October our Sports Leaders alongside Miss Warner took part in a training day where they learnt how to be effective leaders by looking at the qualities of a good leader. They practiced a few games and created their own new game. The children were amazing!

We are all looking forward to seeing the new games you organise over the lunchtimes.

Tag Rugby 07.10.25

Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 team for their fantastic performance at the tag rugby tournament at Stockham Primary School on Wednesday 7th October. The team topped their group with two wins and a draw, and after a hard-fought final narrowly lost 1–0 to Stockham A, finishing 2nd out of eight teams. Every player showed great teamwork, determination, and improvement throughout the tournament.

A big thank you to Annie, Elodie, Molly, Phoebe, Sienna, Dylan G, Dylan S in Year 6, and Amelia and James in Year 5 for representing our school so brilliantly! Many thanks to Andy Smith and Mr Rhodes for supporting the team.
