Year 3 stepped back in time for an action-packed Roman Day, led by a visiting expert who brought Roman history vividly to life. Pupils enjoyed playing traditional Roman games, including Delta, before taking part in an exciting re-enactment of the Boudica rebellion, which really helped them understand this important moment in British history.

Throughout the day, children learnt all about Roman soldiers, exploring their armour, weapons and training, and some brave volunteers even took part in gladiator duels (safely, of course!).

It was a fantastic day full of hands-on learning, enthusiasm and excitement — and Year 3 had an amazing time while learning so much about life in Roman Britain.
